As someone who has tried countless hairsprays over the years, I can confidently say that Vanicream’s Fragrance-Free Firm Hold Hairspray is the best hair product I’ve tried. It’s more of a styling spray than a traditional hairspray, and while it may not provide the strong hold of typical hairsprays, its lightweight formula offers an impeccable, long-lasting, natural-looking hold.
What truly sets Vanicream’s hairspray apart, though, is its formula. Just like the brand’s other products, this hairspray is free of any harmful ingredients.
This fragrance-free styling and finishing hairspray is ideal for daily styling, though it may not be the best choice for creating voluminous updos.
Four Senses Sensitive Strong Hold Fragrance-Free Hairspray
Finally, the Sensitive Strong Hold perfume-free hairspray from Four Senses is back in stock! Being one of my personal favorite hairsprays, I’m very excited that the Finnish Company No Nothing brought back the Super Strong Hold Hairspray. I love that I can achieve a salon-worthy look without sacrificing the health of my hair.
All No Nothing products have been awarded the official emblem of the Finnish Allergy and Asthma Association, which means that they are safe for the vast majority of people who suffer from allergies, sensitivities, or intolerances.
You can also consider the No Nothing styling mist, which is also fragrance-free but does not have as strong a hold. I recommended this one while the Super Strong was out of stock, and it is perfect if you prefer less hold.
FragFre Fragrance-Free Hair Finishing Spray Soft Hold
Another good option is this fragrance-free finishing spray from FragFre. This one checks all the boxes as it’s free of fragrances, colors, parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, petrolatum, phthalates, BHT, irritating alcohols, preservatives, and more.
I really liked this finishing spray, but its hold level is on the lighter side, so if you’re looking for a formula with a firm hold, you might want to consider other options.
No Nothing Sensitive Styling Mist Fragrance-Free Hairspray
The Finnish brand No Nothing‘s products contain as few potentially sensitizing ingredients as possible. To make everyone with a sensitive nose happy, all products are also 100% free of fragrances, scents, essential oils, and generally sensitizing or irritating ingredients.
No Nothing’s fragrance-free sensitive spray with heat-activated formula gives volume and a strong but flexible, long-lasting hold. I thought it worked incredibly well as a base product for curled styles, and it was also excellent for refreshing and accentuating natural curls.
The versatile multi-spray is free of fragrance, scents, gluten, soy, paraben, dye, and colorant. Plus, it contains UV and humidity protection.
